We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Cost Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the operating costs of the food and beverage department. Your main duties will involve cost analysis, inventory control, and ensuring the budget is followed to meet financial goals. Your efforts will help optimize performance and increase profitability within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Control costs related to food, beverages, and supplies.
- Oversee daily inventory, including receiving, storing, and distributing supplies.
- Analyze purchase prices daily.
- Conduct physical stock counts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain documentation for all inventory transfers.
- Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, and delivery receipts.
- Manage stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to manage production costs effectively.
- Review spoilage, expiration, and wastage reports, suggesting solutions.
- Track consumption trends daily, weekly, and monthly to forecast future needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Cost Accountant role within the F&B industry in Kuwait.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in F&B management systems.
- Knowledge of food production and inventory control.
- Proven experience in cost control or financial management in hospitality.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
